Pulse
The sound a brand makes when it moves.

Pulse is a generative sonic-identity toy. It synthesises a short, evolving audio signature from a chosen mood and tempo, visualising the waveform in real time. We use it to prototype the sound of an interface, the click, the confirm, the arrival, before a composer is ever briefed.
Brands are increasingly heard, not just seen, the notification, the boot chime, the haptic confirm. Yet sound is almost always an afterthought. Pulse pulls it forward: it generates a family of tones and rhythms in the browser using oscillators and envelopes, so we can audition a brand's voice on day one.
Each 'mood' is a scale, a timbre, and an envelope shape. The tempo drives an arpeggiated sequence; the visualiser reads the live frequency data and draws it. It's a sketch tool, not a DAW, the goal is direction, not a finished score.
It's also just a joy to play with, which is the point. The experiments that make people smile are the ones that turn into real work.
